To the Editor:
In the spirit of David Letterman’s Top Ten lists, I’d like to add the Top Ten reasons to vote for Randy Clark:
10. He initiated the motion for town board members to forgo their raises for three years in a row
9. He supports the 2% tax cap from Albany providing the unfunded state mandates are addressed
8. He believes in equal television for all – including the town police department
7. He insists on complete transparency around NYMA plans
6. He’s taking a proactive approach to infrastructure challenges like the sewer plant in Cornwall before they become fire drills
5. He supports the farmers market and is advocating for a town dog park
4. He grew up here and has been serving the Cornwall community in different capacities for more than 25 years
3. He questions the status quo and is not afraid to be the contrarian
2. He wants to make Cornwall the kind of place that people continue to love and appreciate by protecting the architectural character of some of our buildings and advocating smart land use
