I would like to comment on an incident at the Village Board meeting on October 18.
During the public comment agenda item, Mr. Andrew Argenion approached the head table and proceeded to interrogate M.r Edsall -- loudly and abusively. He was out of order and should have been stopped.
Public comment is just what the title implies -- the public is allowed to make comments, period. Comments should be directed to the mayor, who may allow a question, to himself, if he so chooses. In most municipalities, questions are allowed -- but abusive, insinuating interrogation is not!
Mr. Argenion was out of order and should have been stopped.

Glad to see that part of the meeting is taped. It would be nice if the whole meeting could be recorded by a designated videographer. The town was taping their meetings and posted them to the website.

I watched the video on YouTube and didn't think Mr. Argenio was being loud or abusive. He was being confrontational, but that's what public meetings with elected officials are all about. I have no idea what the protocol is for addressing board members or the mayor, so I won't comment on that. If you find that loud and abusive, then I suggest you never attend a municipal meeting of any kind in New York or Philadelphia. They make Mr. Agenio's interaction with Mr. Edsall look like high tea.
(BTW, kudos to Mr. Argenio for filming these meetings so people can watch and form their own opinions about conduct and content.)
