General News: Town Meetings to Go Online
April 15, 2009
The town of Cornwall took another step toward keeping the public informed about its inner workings when it agreed on Monday to post a videotape of the council member meetings on the town website (www.cornwallny.gov).
Alex Ellick, a high school junior who volunteers to videotape the meeting each month, wrote a letter to the board suggesting that a lot more people could see the meeting if it was online.
The monthly board meeting currently can be seen on Time Warner Cable channel 27 on Mondays at 7 p.m. (It sometimes runs at 8 p.m. as well). A copy of the videotaped meeting is also available on DVD at the Cornwall Public Library.

Great idea!
Public service and a civics lesson at the same time.
Thanks, Alex.
