Thursday is opening night of the middle school drama club production of "Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat" and the cast and crew did their final rehearsal Wednesday evening.
"I am so excited," said Marietta Veglia, the show's director, "that I don't think I will be able to sleep tonight."
The play, an opera written by Andrew Lloyd Weber and Tim RIce , follows the story of Joseph, sold into slavery in Egypt by his brothers, who has the power to interpret dreams. Each song in the production follows a different genre, from country to Caribbean.
The production is, of course, colorful, and the student actors have taken on their roles with great enthusiasm, despite suffering a setback over the weekend when snow forced the cancellation of two rehearsals.
Tickets to the show on Thursday, Friday and Saturday are still available. Showtime is at 7 p.m.
