Cornwall Public Library was host to to a special conservation and environmental presentation by the "Wolf Conservation Center", a private non-profit educational organization based in South Salem, NY with a mission and purpose to teach all about the about wolves, the role human beings play in their future survival, and their relationship to the health of our environment.
The presentation, which included both a discussion and question and answer session, was extremely well attended with well over 120 persons attending.
'Wolf' related educational materials and and other "topic" articles were available for purchase to help assist the nonprofit with continuing efforts in regard to both on-site and off-site education and "wolf recovery and rehabilitation". Presently, the organization has a total of 25 wolves in its care.
All "Presentation" attendees as well as the multitude of Cornwall Public Library visitors, including children, teens, adults and seniors alike, had a great time, and will not soon forget this very memorable evening of fun and adventure.
All were impressed with the beauty of ATKA, the "Ambassador Wolf", who is 10 years of age and weighs 85 pounds and whose name in Native American Inuit tongue, means "Guardian Spirit".
