General News: Maple Ave. House Hit by Driver

On Wednesday, April 3, 2013, a female driver, while operating her vehicle on Maple Avenue in the Village of Cornwall on Hudson at approximately 4:30pm, crashed her car into her neighbor's residence at 11 Maple Avenue, damaging and destabilizing the porch and balcony.
The female driver of the vehicle was arrested for DWI, among other charges, and her vehicle was towed.
Storm King Engine Company, COVAC and the Village Building Inspector were called to the scene.
The owner/occupants of the damaged residence are away and reportedly in the state of Florida and their son is the acting caretaker.
