Arrests
02/12/13 A 47 yr old male from New City, NY was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
02/13/13 12:10 am John Paul Linguanti, age 20, of Monroe, NY was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
4:10 pm Stephen A Prokosch Jr., age 36, of Newburgh, NY was arrested on a warrant for assault.
02/16/13 James A post, age 25, of Newburgh, nY was arrested and charged with harassment second degree, assault in the third degree and criminal mischief in the fourth degree.
02/17/13 Robert W Everett, age 48, of Cornwall, NY was arrested for DWI, leaving the scene of an accident and refusal of pre screen test.
Incidents
02/11/13 6:34 pm Fire Dept responds to Bernicker’s for a car fire in a garage.
3:07 pm A Cornwall couple reported a wiring money scam. They received a phone call from someone claiming he was their grandson who was in a jail in Peru and needed $2800 wired to him. Th couple attempted to wire the money and the clerk at the Money Gram desk in Walmart of Newburgh sensed something was wrong and notified the Newburgh Police.
02/13/13 Police assist Federal Bureau of Prison transport team with a prisoner having an asthma attack. Prisoner was transferred to Cornwall Hospital for treatment.
5:49 pm Police called for motor vehicle accident on Angola Rd., driver injured.
02/14/13 Police and COVAC dispatched for a motor vehicle accident, elderly driver passed out while driving.
02/17/13 A Basset Hound was found walking alond Rt. 32 about 1/4 mile south of Quaker Ave. and transported to Blooming Grove Animal Shelter.
