Despite the gloomy weather, local citizens were happy to turn out for the Cornwall Presbyterian Church’s annual spaghetti dinner on Saturday, February 23.
The dinner, which ran from 4:30 to 7:00, cost $10 for adults and $5 for children. The event was organized to raise money for The Food Bank of the Hudson Valley.
Cornwall-on-Hudson Mayor Brendan Coyne, who was involved in the event, said that the church raised “just over $1500” and estimated that somewhere between 140 and 150 people were in attendance.
Mayor Coyne was also eager to thank those who helped make the event possible. “We’re very grateful to the help from the New York Military Academy cadets,” he said, referring to several cadets who donated their time.
By all accounts, the dinner was a success and those in attendance enjoyed themselves, all while supporting a good cause.
