The Cornwall Public Library was temporarily renamed "Valentine Central" on Monday, February 11th between 4pm and 6pm while it held a family drop-in event consisting of a Valentine Workshop where children were taught to make "St. Valentines Day" cards as well as a valentine for the birds.
The workshop was broken into two separate segments in that the cards were constructed in the Community Room and the "Valentines for the Birds" were constructed outdoors, during the mild weather our region enjoyed this past Monday, on the covered concrete patio located off the Community Room.
This special event was well attended and all in attendance had a great time and learned interesting arts and crafts. All materials were provided free of charge by the Cornwall Library, and participants took home their own handmade card to give to a person of their choice as well as a "Valentine for the Birds" which they may place outside their residence."
