Cornwall Historical Society Museum seeks donations of silica gel packets |
January 29, 2013
1000 silica packets = $40.00.
It isn't an incredible savings, but everyone throws these out and we would be recycling them.
Silica gel has been used in museums throughout the world for decades to stabilize the relative humidity (RH) in sealed exhibition cases and storage units. It provides environmental protection to museum collections by acting as a buffer against relative humidity changes. The Cornwall Historical Society Museum needs these for the museum displays. Please collect as you find them.
They can be dropped of at the Museum in town hall on Tuesdays or under the museum door in an envelope anytime.
Thanks,
Kathi Ellick
