The snow did not stop the crowds from coming to DeCicco's on opening day, February 8, 2013. Mr. Frank DeCicco Jr., Co-Owner of the DeCicco Family Food Market, said that they were crowded at 9am and even at 2pm there were few parking spaces available.
In the produce section of DeCicco's, an employee warmly greeted customers asking if they would like to sign up for the DeCicco's discount card. Cornwall native Debbie Bartolone, a respresentative of Boar's Head brand of deli meat, handed out samples and chatted with customers. The store was bustling and you had to act quickly to grab the last few of the fresh bagels and italian bread.
One customer could be overheard saying, "it's nice to see the shelves well stocked, it was so empty here for such a long time!"
