Cornwall Lions Club, during its Tuesday evening monthly meeting, January 15th 2013 at Canterbury Brook Inn, hosted a presentation by Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh's Volunteers Virginia Hayes and Jane Disare.
The "Lions" in keeping with their philosophy, commitment and organizational goal of "building a brighter future for the world, and for their local communities" voted a sizable financial donation to "Habitat", building homes nail by nail.

Apart from club business, they have a featured speaker informing the group of community activities/events, concerns and opportunities to participate in community initiatives.
Recent speakers include Dr. Bill Schuster, Executive Director of the Blackrock Forest Consortium, Father Peter Claver Ugo of Newburgh provided an update on his efforts to raise funds for water well building in Africa and Lions District Director Peter Lyons gave his insight into the activities of other Lions clubs in our disctrict and internationally.
