(GOSHEN, NY) – Orange County Executive Edward A. Diana advises those residents who were affected by Hurricane Sandy that they may visit the Village Hall at 18 Church Street in Greenwood Lake today, Thursday, November 29 and tomorrow, Friday, November 30 from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, to speak with FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) representatives regarding Individual Assistance (IA).
“This is an additional way residents may apply for Individual Assistance with FEMA,” said County Executive Diana.
Orange County individuals and households may also apply for assistance by registering online at www.disasterassistance.gov by smartphone at m.fema.gov or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or 1-800-462-7585 (TTY) for the hearing and speech impaired. The toll-free telephone numbers will operate 24 hours, seven days a week until further notice.
FEMA’s Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Orange County is still open at the Orange County Fire Training Center, 9 Training Center Lane in New Hampton, 10958, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm on a walk-in basis for residents to apply for Individual Assistance (IA).
