Letters to the Editor: Thank you for participating in the yard sale

To the Editor:
I want to offer a warm thank you to everyone who participated in our seventh VILLAGE WIDE YARD SALE on Saturday, Oct. 13. We had well over 100 yard sales and 125 village maps were picked up at Village Hall that morning by visitors. What a day we had! The weather was beautiful and your cooperation and support made it fun to do. I enjoyed your positive comments on the tape and your enthusiasm for a community event. Some of our streets were bustling with traffic but everyone was respectful and cautious. It was great to see so many residents and visitors enjoying our village!
It’s gratifying for me personally to spearhead this event when the response from the community is so positive. So, hold onto those ‘treasures’ and be ready for next year!
