Letter to the Editor
Volunteers are needed to plant small trees in Cornwall on Hudson. NY State Dept of Environmental Conservation, under close supervision, is giving trees to Riverbank Historic House Museum.
The purpose is to conserve shoreline of tributary streams . These trees will protect water quality, fish and wildlife and will reduce erosion and flooding. We get ten trees for every volunteer.
A certificate of doing this volunteer work will be given if requested. All you need is a shovel and a desire to help and have fun.
We are doing the planting Oct 21st starting at 9:30 AM at 2 Riverbank Lane Cornwall-on-Hudson.
Other times can be arranged.
