General News: Welcome Home Step By Step Dance Troupe

Welcome home to the dance students from Step By Step dance studio in Cornwall, NY who performed at the Warwick Castle and the Island Garden in the 2012 London Invitational. The Troupe is getting some well deserved rest after a week long trip to perform in this invitational as a part of the American Dance Festival, hosted by The American Association of Performing Arts Educators (AAPAE) and coincided with the 2012 Olympics,
The dance troupe pictured consists of graduating seniors: Tiffany Henriksen, Nicole Gioia, Celine and Monica Trella, and students Katie Ferrism, Klayton Kelly, Konnor Kelly, Julianne Lopez, Erin Mullan, Montana Nogrady, Amanda Sarchino and Julia Smith.
Step By Step. The London performances featured several styles of dance: including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and modern. Each dance was choreographed by one of the teachers who are Ronda Barber, Veronica Nogrady, Monica Trella, Stephanie Thomas, and Andrea Cotter.
The troupe also spent a week touring the historic sites of the UK and performed their dances at the two most prestigious places in England. It was wonderful even though they got rained on, but who’s complaining
This was an exhausting week for the dancers. They got to see what it’s like to be on tour, as well as what many years of hard work and dedication to themselves and to their craft can lead to. Congratulations to Ronda Barber and her staff at Step by Step for another great year of dance. Kudos to all the graduating seniors as they head off to college. They will serve as role models to inspire the next generation.
Over the years Step By Step Dance Studio has performed at many prestigious locations, which include LincolnCenter, Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center in WashingtonD.C., as well as other events. I’m sure this was an exciting time for these young dancers to be a part of this once in a lifetime experience dancing throughout the city of London. Next up for Step by Step Dancers is Scotland in 2013. Step By Step is looking forward: to being part of the next Olympic celebrations in Rio in 2016.
