Hooray! The Town of Cornwall Board unanimously approved the use of a dog park as part of the Angola Road town park! Thanks to all of you who showed up to support the park - it really helped! We are now officially opening the dog park in Cornwall at the end of July - look out for updates with a date and time. The park will be located on Muser Drive off of Angola Rd. right across the street from the Cromwell Manor Bed & Breakfast (many consider it the entrance to the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum). It will have two sections – one for large dogs and one for smaller dogs.
Since it is a privately funded venture that does not require any taxpayer money, we are relying solely on the generous contributions of the community. We are very close to raising the thousands of dollars that are needed to install the fence, signs, benches, etc.but we could use some help. If you think you would use the park or if you think it's a good idea to have the park please donate. You may send a check made to The Cornwall Dog Park, 288 Main Street, Cornwall, NY 12518 or, i f you have a Paypal account, you can donate by clicking one of the following links.
