General News: Aisling Cuffe Places 2nd in Scotland Race

Aisling Cuffe placed second in a four-kilometer race Saturday in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The Cornwall-on-Hudson native competed in the race with other junior runners from the United States, as well as teams from Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
The 18-year-old Cuffe, who is a freshman at Stanford University in California, is the 2011 USA Junior Cross Country champion.
Emelia Gorecka of Great Britain won the race with a 14:48 finish. Cuffe came in at 15:09 for the runner-up finish, while Molly Siedel, of Wisconsin, took third in 15:16.
