A Cornwall-on-Hudson girl is taking the stage in the leading role of Annie in a month-long production of the show at the Center for the Performing Arts in Rhinebeck starting next weekend.
Amelia Rose, age 9, won the title role just six months after her professional stage debut in the production of Jackass Flats at the Shadowland Theatre in Ellenville.
The opening night performance of Annie on Friday, January 13, will also be a benefit for the Dutchess County SPCA. Tickets are $40.00 and include admission to a pre-show reception and Sandy look-alike contest. You'll also have the opportunity to meet with the cast, including Amelia, following the performance.

Funny, I just found out that the man playing opposite Amelia as Daddy Warbucks - Joseph Jervais-Gayton is originally from Cornwall! Small world! He is wonderful in the role : )
