Arrests


Monday
Police charged Cristobal Cortez, 24 of Newburgh, with second degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration.

Police charged Jeryl Mosely, 48 of Washingtonville, with second aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operation of a motor vehicle by an unlicensed driver and speeding in a posted zone.

Police charged Daniel Degroat, 20 of Cornwall-on-Hudson, with second degree menacing and second degree attempted assault.


Tuesday
Police charged an unnamed 18 year-old male from New Windsor with unlawful possession of marijuana and turned over to Town of Newburgh police on an outstanding bench warrant.


Thursday
Police charged Damon Passaro, 53 of Lagrangeville, with driving while intoxicated and driving the wrong way on a one way street.

Police charge Adali Camacho, 21 of Newburgh, with operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration and operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration.

Police arrested David Corey, 47 of Cornwall-on-Hudson, for an outstanding bench warrant.


Saturday
Police charged April Moretti, 31 of New Windsor, with third degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a broken license plate lamp.

Monday, September 26, 2011
12:12 am Police respond to museum road for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

8:34 am Police respond to Shore Drive for a report of a dead goose in the road way.

8:43 am Police respond to Erin Court for a report of low hanging utility wires.

10:47 am Police respond to Clinton Street for a report of a black suitcase left by the side of the road.

6:22 pm Police take a report of harassment.

6:56 pm Police respond to a report of three teenagers in a black truck harassing a 10 year-old girl.

9:06 pm Police take a report of a person leaving two puppies on the side of Mineral Springs Road. Animal control officer collected the animals.

10:37 am Police respond to a domestic incident.

12:30 pm Police respond to Willow Avenue for a report of disorderly adults.

3:25 pm Police take a report of a tenant stealing electricity from a landlord.

3:30 pm Police take a report of harassment.

7:19 pm Police respond to Route 32 for vehicle rollover.

2:05 am Police respond to Route 94 for a dead deer in the roadway.

11:10 am Police respond to Route 9W for a car fire.

6:34 pm Police respond to Cumberland Farms to assist village of Cornwall-on-Hudson police with a larceny in progress.

8:54 pm Police respond to Main Street for a vehicle that side swiped another vehicle and then became stuck in a ditch on Quaker Avenue.

10:00 pm Police take a report of harassment.

11:40 pm Police take a report of a vehicle that vehicle hit a parked vehicle and drove away.


Thursday, September 29, 2011
4:30 am Police respond to the Shamrock Tavern for report of a shirtless man who punched a patron of the bar and then hid behind the bar.

7:47 am Police respond to Route 9W for a minor motor vehicle accident.

8:26 am Police assist a disabled vehicle on Route 9W.

9:33 am Police respond to Route 9W for a vehicle that had driven into a flooded section of the roadway and become disabled. Police closed the road until the flooding went down.

10:53 am Police respond to Route 218 for a report of severe flooding and damage to the roadway. Police closed the Cornwall side of the road.


Friday, September 30, 2011
2:55 am Police assist village of Cornwall-on-Hudson police.

5:58 am Police take a report of a white Honda Civic following another vehicle.

8:38 am Police respond to Canterbury Avenue to assist a resident who had himself out of his home. Police could not gain entry; homeowner had to call a relative to bring over a spare key.

10:52 am Police respond to Quaker Avenue for a motor vehicle accident.

11:38 am Police respond to Maine Street for a two car motor vehicle accident.

5:20 pm Police respond to Oak Street for a two car motor vehicle accident.

7:39 pm Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver on Route 94.

8:08 pm Police assist a disabled vehicle on Route 9W.

8:58 pm Police take a report of a car vs deer motor vehicle accident on Route 9W.
