A Cornwall woman has died after she was pinned to a tree by the door of her car outside her home on Armand’s Way.
Police chief Todd Hazard reports that police were called to the property just before 9:30 pm on Tuesday. Officers discovered Virginia Davidson, 68, pinned between the open door of her vehicle and a tree in her driveway. COVAC transported her to St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, where she later died.
Police are still investigating the accident, including whether Davidson had any medical conditions that may have contributed to her injuries. He said there will be an autopsy.
Davidson was employed as a professor of English at Mount Saint Mary College. Friends say they are stunned by the loss, which occurred just one day after she celebrated her birthday.
Comments:
I worked with her @ MSMC. Virginia always had a warm welcome each time we would meet. So sad. Rest in peace.
