General News: Special Meeting on Thursday in Village
August 16, 2011
The village of Cornwall-on-Hudson board of trustees is holding a special meeting on Thursday, August 18 at 4:30 pm to address budgetary items as well to return to the proposal from Taylor Biomass to provide waste municipal waste disposal services for twenty years.
Village attorney Joseph McKay told the board of trustees that leaders of several local municipalities were meeting with a representative of Taylor Biomass on Wednesday to discuss concerns they have about entering into a binding agreement.
“There are so many questions, I think we have to wait,” McKay said in reference to the proposed contract. He then suggested that the board would have new information about the proposal for a discussion of it at the special meeting on Thursday.
