A brush fire on Zieglar Lane in Cornwall turned deadly Saturday afternoon. Police said that a man in his mid-70s was conducting an illegal burn which he tried to extinguish but it got out of control. The man was pronounced dead on the scene. There is an outdoor burn ban in New York through May 14th.
