To the Editor:
In behalf of the Catholic Daughter's of America, Court Rita #264, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your coverage of our annual Children's Pet Show on July 4th. I would also like to thank all that participated in our yearly event.
They are too numerous to mention, but I must thank in particular the following. Ms. Mary Donahue, Dr. Lori Stein, Mayor Brendan Coyne, Supervisor Kevin Quigley, and last but not least St. Thomas of Canterbury's own, Father Dennis. Their professional judging of our contestants and their pets was excellent and won the approval of all present.
We, the Catholic Daughters look forward to sponsoring this event next July 4th, as we enjoy it as much as the boys and girls of our community, and I dare to say, their parents and friends as well.
Again, thanks to all that participated, making this event a successful one. In particular, all my Catholic Daughters sisters, and the Junior Catholic Daughters under the direction of Karin Caufaglione, who joined us and worked very hard registering our contestants.
After so many years as M.C. Solveig (Sis ) Barton retired and passed the baton to me. I hope I can do her proud. Thank you very much.
