A new sign marking the entrance to the village went up Wednesday on Shore Road.
Almost from the first meeting of the new village Board of Trustees following the March elections, village Mayor Brendan Coyne has mentioned that he’d like to address the fact that the entrance to the village on Shore Road wasn’t marked.
Coyne found out there was, in fact, an unused village sign in storage and had the Department of Public Works install it on the road just before the Scenic Technologies building. The sign bears a plaque from the Village Square Committee in 2008. The back side of the sign, visible as you are leaving, says “Come Again.”
Comments:
is that the actual border? does that mean the sewage treatment plant and Castaways and Ceely's are in New Windsor?!
