General News: CCHS Senior Picked as Rising Ball Player

Cornwall Central High School senior Joe McClennan of Cornwall has been named by ESPN RISE magazine as one of the top 50 players in New York State.
School Athletic Director Lou Cioffi made the announcement, saying that McClennan is currently a leader on the Cornwall varsity baseball team that is having a winning season.
McClennan is hitting .429, with a slugging percentage of .762. In 13 games he compiled 21 RBI's, including 6 doubles, 1 triple, and 2 homers, Cioffi said.
Joe has accepted a scholarship to play at Manhattan College, where former Cornwall star and brother, Scott, is a freshman pitcher who is sporting a 2-1 record and a nifty 2.49 ERA.
