From St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital
An evening filled with good friends, great music and lots of singing – the St. Luke’s Cornwall Auxiliary hosted its third annual Karaoke & Cocktails event on Wednesday, April 6.
This year’s “friend-raiser,” held at Torches on the Hudson in Newburgh, welcomed over 130 community members, volunteers, hospital leadership and clinical staff as both singers and spectators. This year’s “celebrity committee,” led by Karaoke co-chairs, Renay Bevins and Lucie Provencher, was comprised of nearly 30 community and business leaders who helped generate excitement about the event and bring in new friends – and vocal talent – to the hospital community.
“This is a unique and fun-filled event that brings together new friends in support of our community hospital,” said Sue Sullivan, SLCH Vice President of Advancement and Government Affairs.
Many of the evening’s attendees put their vocal cords to use, belting out tunes including “Girl’s Just Wanna Have Fun” by Cindy Lauper and Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance.”
The Auxiliary is composed of volunteers who serve as hospital ambassadors and advocates, supporting the St. Luke’s Cornwall Health System Foundation’s fundraising efforts and leading service projects that benefit our community.
