To the Editor:
In an effort to streamline our recycling program, the village of Cornwall-on-Hudson will be switching to single stream recycling. Single stream recycling will alleviate the need to sort your recycling items into separate containers.
You will now be able to put all of your co-mingled products such as glass, tin, plastic etc., along with paper products and cardboard, in one container. All of these items can be placed in one container, not to exceed 35 pounds. All products will be picked up at the same time in one truck, starting at 4:00 a.m.
The recycling schedule will remain the same and I have included a copy of it with this letter (see PDF file below). This change will go into effect on April 6, 2011. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call me at the above number. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter.
