Arrests


Monday, March 21, 2011
Police charge Richard Clausen, 47, of Cornwall, with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and driving a car with no inspection certificate.


Tuesday, March 22
Police charge an unidentified 16-year-old male from Cornwall with criminal mischief in the third degree for damaging an interior door at Cornwall High School.


Wednesday, March 23
Police charge an unidentified 18-year-old male from New Windsor with unlawful possession of marijuana after observing a vehicle at Muser Drive and Angola Road and detecting an odor of marijuana, then stopping the vehicle and later observing a smashed marijuana cigarette on the ground.

Police charge Robert Henriksen, of Cornwall, with possession of a forged instrument and petty larrcent after he allegedly passed two counterfeit bills at a local store.


Police charge an unidentified 17-year-old male from Cornwall with grand larceny in the fourth degree and criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree after he is alleged to have stolen four credit cards and $20 in cash from a purse at the high school.


Saturday, March 26
Police charge Pamela Mendez, of Newburgh, with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and driving a vehicle with suspended registration.


Sunday, March 27
Police charge William Blythe, 20, New Windsor, with driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right after he is involved in a roll-over accident on Route 32 and Juenger Driver.

Monday, March 21
7:47 am Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver on Route 9W.

8:12 am Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Route 9W at the flagpole.

9:02 am Police respond to a report of a subject being abused by a son and contact adult protective services.

4:11 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Main Street and McCanns Lane.

5:49 pm Police investigate a report of $49 in cash stolen from a fundraiser box in the girls locker room at the high school.

8:48 pm Police take a report of a motor vehicle that hit a planter in the Salisbury Mills train station.


Tuesday, March 22
9:55 am Police take a report of a two car motor vehicle on Halloran Road and Route 32.

12:30 pm Police check on the welfare of a six-year-old child.

2:31 pm Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver on Route 94.

3:03 pm Police investigate a harassment complaint involving Facebook.

4:22 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Quaker Avenue and the ramp from Route 9W.


Wednesday, March 23
12:50 am Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver going 80 mph in a 55 mph zone of Route 9W.

8:45 am Police investigate a report of window of a medical office on Route 9W that had been broken with a high-powered pellet gun.

4:59 pm Police investigate a report of a shot fired at the front door of a residence on Route 9Wovernight.

8:23 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with property damage on Route 9W.

9:06 pm Police respond to a husband-wife domestic dispute.


Thursday, March 24
12:57 am Police respond to a rollover motor vehicle accident on Orrs Mills Road and find a vehicle with no one in it. Police later interview three occupants who reported no injuries.

3:18 pm Police respond to a three-car motor vehicle accident with property damage on Shore Drive.

6:32 pm Police respond to a mother-daughter domestic dispute.

6:52 pm Police investigate a harassment complaint.

9:17 pm Police respond to a two-car motor vehicle accident with property damage.


Friday, March 25
12:49 pm Police respond to a husband-wife domestic dispute.

4:20 pm Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver on Route 32.


Saturday, March 26
12:10 am Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver on Route 32.

12:15 am Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver on Quaker Avenue.

12:21 –1:22 pm Police issue a traffic ticket to two drivers on Route 32.

2:37 pm Police investigate a report of a fraud.

5:36 pm Police respond to a report on an assault on Quaker Avenue.


Sunday, March 27
2:35 pm Police respond to a report of an emotionally disturbed woman threatening to harm herself on a lookout on Route 9W. Subject is transported to Cornwall hospital.
