To the Editor:
On behalf of the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson, Mayor Gross, the Board of Trustees and myself I would like to extend our sincere thanks to Michael Bigg, Jr., Quality Auto Towing & Recovery and your professional staff.
On Wednesday March 23, 2011 a Village employee was sanding Deer Hill Road when part of the roadway collapsed. As you are aware the truck had sunk in the mud up to the frame and this truck needed to be removed from the sink hole quickly but with great care.
Your quick response (within minutes) and the care which you and your operator used to remove the truck is noted. With the precision of a surgeon, you lifted our truck up and set it back on solid ground. The care that you had us shown was immediately evident as there was no damage to the vehicle and the truck remained in service for its sanding operation the rest of that evening.
It is nice to know that you and your staff are there on a moment’s notice and there with the right equipment. Once again thank you and John Amaratie, for a great job when we were in need of help.
