Wednesday, February 16
Police charge Brian Sewall, 28, of New Windsor, with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.


Incidents
Monday, February 14
8:14 am Police check on the welfare of an elderly female resident and find she has been admitted to the hospital after breaking her hip.

3:15 pm A village officer who was at a Newburgh car wash responded to an accident scene in which the driver was unresponsive and summoned EMS.


Wednesday, February 16
Police issue a ticket to a driver with expired insurance.

12:31 am Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 9W and Mountain Road.

4:30 am Police assist town police with an emotionally disturbed subject.

8:28 am Police issue a ticket to a driver parked illegally on Maple Ave. Extension.

9:42 am Police respond to a two-car motor vehicle accident with property damage on Route 9W.

7:48 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for a cell phone violation.


Thursday, February 17
9:28 am Police take a report of a vehicle damaged by a plow on Holt’s Lane.

10:15 am Police take a report of a window of a vehicle parked on Academy Avenue that was shattered overnight.

12:46 pm Police investigate a report of BB-shots fired from a yellow Mercedes that was driving on Mountain Road.


Friday, February 18
7:15 am Police respond to a medical call with COVAC.

7:03 pm Police advise children skateboarding on Academy Avenue to stay out of the roadway.

1:39 pm Police respond to a 2-car motor vehicle accident with property damage on Hudson Street.


Monday, February 21
9:00 am Police respond with COVAC on a medical call.

10:27 pm Police respond to the DB Mart for a dispute with a customer who left without paying for $6 of gas.


Wednesday, February 23
9:01 am Police issue a ticket to a driver for speeding in a school zone on Hudson Street.

8:43 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for driving with an invalid license.


Thursday, February 24
9:33 am Police investigate a report of a house on Hudson Street that was egged overnight.

2:34 pm Police investigate a report of the larceny of Xanax pills and $30 in change from a vehicle on Curie Road.

10:44 pm Police respond to a medical call and administer oxygen until COVAC arrives.

11:28 pm Police respond to a medical call and turn it over to COVAC.


Friday, February 25
1:40 am Police respond to a medical call and turn it over to COVAC.

11:16 pm Police assist town police with locating subjects that were seen attempting to gain access to CVS just prior to alarm being tripped.

6:43 pm Police respond to a medical call and turn it over to COVAC.


Sunday, February 27
8:11 am Police take a report of a cashier at a business on Hudson Street who took in a counterfeit $20 bill overnight.
