General News: Six Candidates File for March Election

It's official: Brendan Coyne, the former president of the Cornwall school board, is running against two-term mayor Joseph Gross in the March 15th village election. Incumbent trustees Mark Edsall and Douglas Vatter will face challengers Andrew Argenio and Jan Smith in the race for two open trustee seats on the village board.
All six candidates for public office in the village filed their nominating petitions for election on Tuesday, February 8, the deadline for any candidate who wants to appear on the ballot.
