General News: Senator Larkin Named Majority Whip

With twenty years in the state senate and another eleven years in the assembly, state senator Bill Larkin, a Republican from Cornwall-on-Hudson, has been named to the leadership position of Senate Majority Whip by Senator Dean Skelos, Senate Majority Leader.
"It is a great honor for me to be named Majority Whip," said Senator Larkin. "I appreciate the confidence Senator Skelos has placed in me and I look forward to working with the entire Republican conference to ensure a successful legislative session."
" Bill Larkin is a true leader and I value his wisdom, experience and input as part of the Senate Majority’ leadership team," Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos said.
Along with the leadership position, Senator Larkin announced that he has been named to the following Senate committees by Senator Skelos: Corporations, Authorities and Commissions; Finance; Health; Insurance; Rules; Transportation; and Veterans, Homeland Security & Military Affairs.
