To All Readers:
As we end this year marked with turmoil in the village of Cornwall-on-Hudson, I am reminded of the words I heard on Sunday from Ben Stein, a commentator on CBS Sunday Morning.
Talking about the holiday season, he remarked that it is an appropriate time to throw away our feelings of resentment and anger that take up so much space in our hearts and our heads.
“Why don’t we throw away our bad feelings at anyone we feel angry about?” he asked. “Give the gift of forgiveness to everyone,” he suggested, noting that it is really a gift to one’s self.
I couldn’t have said it better.
Happy New Year – and enjoy the Ball Drop tonight!

Nice one, Nancy--I caught that Ben Stein piece, too. It's a good message to spread.
