General News: Italian Food Vendor on Hudson Street

Thoughts of food are in the air at Thanksgiving time and starting this Wednesday you will find some additional treats to tempt your taste buds when Mike the Cheese Guy sets up shop under the striped awning at the Hudson Street Café in Cornwall-on-Hudson.
Café co-owner Donna Hammond said that she heard that the Cheese Guy was looking for a winter home after doing business this summer and fall at the farmers market at Cornwall Town Hall. “He is a really nice guy and he has a following,” Hammond said about the decision to invite him to sell outside the café. “It just seemed like a good thing to do.”
Hammond said that November 24th will be the first day that the Cheese Guy, whose company is known as M&M Italian Provisions, will be in the village. She notes that some people may want to pick up some of his ravioli, cheese or sausage for Thanksgiving Day. He plans to be at the location every Wednesday from 10 am to 5 pm.
Hammond is offering her own menu of Thanksgiving dishes to pre-order, but hurry, today is the last day she is taking orders on fixings like butternut squash soup, fresh orange cranberry relish, root vegetable gratin, gluten-free stuffing and pies.
