General News: Cornwall Library Seeks New Members

Are you interested in having a voice in the future of the Cornwall Public Library? If so, the library’s board of trustees is accepting applicants to fill two newly created board seats on a temporary basis until the next election of board members in April 2011. The seats were created by a revision of the library’s charter that took effect in September.
While the appointments will be temporary, those filling the seats may choose to run for election next April when three seats will be filled for three, four and five year terms.
Board members must be residents of the Cornwall School District. Anyone interested in applying for one of these seats may send a letter of application stating the reason for your interest and any applicable background information to: Joseph Barth, President, CPL Board of Trustees, 395 Hudson St, Cornwall, NY 12518.
