Arrests


Monday, November 1
Police charge 37-year-old Jeffrey Lewis of New Windsor with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, criminal possession of a controlled substance (oxycodone) in the seventh degree, operating a vehicle with expired insurance and a suspended registration, and with having an obstructed view.

Police charge 52-year-old Daniel Burgoyne with operating a vehicle with a suspended registration.

Tuesday, November 2
Police charge 45-year-old Joel DeJesus of Ridgewood, NY with driving a vehicle with a suspended registration and no insurance.


Wednesday, November 3
Police charge 39-year-old Darren Williams of Beacon with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree after he is found to have a suspended license.

Police charge Pedro Plata, 59, of Walden, with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and with using a cell phone while driving on Quaker Avenue.


Thursday, November 4
Police charge 21-year-old Jessica Purcell of Washingtonville with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, being an unlicensed driver and disobeying a stop sign at Beakes Road and Orrs Mills Road.

Police charge 50-year-old Susan Walsh of New Windsor with driving with a suspended registration and with no insurance.


Saturday, November 6
Police charge 44-year-old Dean Purdy of Monroe with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after he was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Route 94.


Sunday, November 7
Police charge 23-year-old Justin Montanaro of Hastings on Hudson with making unreasonable noise outside the Shamrock Tavern.

Monday, November 1
12:21 pm Police locate a 15-year-old female who was reported missing by her mother after she failed to attend school after spending the night with a friend.

4:06 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Route 94.

5:45 pm Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 9W at Willow Avenue.

6:18 pm Police check on the welfare of a minor who was afraid to go home.

7:50 pm Police assist fire department with a report of a brush fire near the railroad tracks beneath Storm King Mountain.

8:59 pm Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 32.

11-11:14 pm Police issue two traffic summonses to vehicles on Route 32 and Quaker Road.


Tuesday, November 2
4:55 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver on Route 32.

10:02 am Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Orrs Mills Road.

6:18 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Main Street.


Wednesday, November 3
1:59 am Police assist town police with a criminal mischief case.

6:15 am Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 9W.

8:33 am Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 9W.

4:56 pm  Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 9W.

6:14 pm  Police investigate a report of harassment.


Thursday, November 4
12:24 pm  Police investigate a report of child abuse and determine it may have been a case of consensual sex between teens.

3:15 pm  Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Quaker Avenue.

11:20 pm  Police investigate a reported assault by the mother of her daughter's boyfriend.

11:50 pm  Police respond to a welfare call and transport a subject with visible self-inflicted wounds to Arden Hill Hospital.


Friday, November 5
2:23 pm  Police investigate a report of $500 stolen from the pocket of a patient at Cornwall hospital.

9:39 pm  Police respond to a report of a domestic dispute on Main Street and find a building had been egged.

11:43 pm  Police move allong a group of juveniles at Elm and Chestnut Streets after a witness reported they had taken the street sign down.


Saturday, November 6
10:30 am  Police respond to a male-female domestic dispute.

8:35 pm  Police investigate a report of a male subject under the influence of either drugs or alcohol, locate him and transport him to Cornwall hospital.


Sunday, November 7
12;26 am  Police respond to the first of three noise complaints at Shamrock Tavern.
