Week of October 23, 2010
Grade 2-3 Division
Tigers 0, Pumas 0
The Tigers played hard and with great team spirit with the orange hair spray on Kathryn Hanlon and Ava Desharnais. The Tigers played hard with Luke Kapcsack nearly scoring goals. Leland Janus played hard in midfield and Claire Kelly showed great effort running speedily down the line helping the Tigers get the ball into scoring position.
Cougars 1, Panthers 0
The Cougars topped the Panthers 1-0 in the 1:00 game on Saturday. Great efforts were turned in by Samantha Jacopino, Emily Garrison, and the Peralta’s ( Chris and Isabella ) to preserve the shutout.
Badgers 1, Bulls 0
Gavin Vallet scored the Badger's only goal while Jacob Schuck displayed tremendous hustle, and Erica Briggs and Ally Ackerman showed off some fancy ball handling skills.
After their opponent scored early on, the Bulls defense kept the ball on the other side of the field mostly due to great heads up plays by Brendan Dineen. The offensive, led by Wes Spaulding and Dana Bell had a few shots on goal but came up short this week.
Jaguars 2, Rams 0
Two goals by Nicholas Kehoe and great defense and goal keeping by Joseph Lopresti and Roisin Murray preserved the shutout for the Jaguars.
Cobras 2, Cheetahs, 0
The games two outstanding goals were scored by Shay Roth and Nick Adams and great goal defending was done by Perry Anderson.
Grade 4 Division
Owls vs Eagles
Tommy Doyle scored twice and Molly Fowler added a goal for the Owls on Saturday’s matchup against the Eagles. Robbie Hess had many strong defensive clears and Jenna MacLeod and Dante Santoro maintained good pressure all game.
Hawks vs Cardinals
Blaine Doyle scored two goals and Joseph Maddalena and Megan Sanchez each had one goal for the Hawks this weekend. Gannon Yarmus played strong in defense and Sophia Minasi and Erin Beckvermit did a great job in goal.
Jays vs Falcons
In Saturday’s matchup against the Falcons, Ethan Gaboff scored the only goal for the Jays. Edsel Ascencio, Zachary Bauer, Justin Bednarek all played well in goal. Liam DeMaria, Daizy Craswell, Mia Reed, Molly Cameron and Deanna Cavazza all worked very hard and each did a fantastic job!
Grade 5-6 Division
Comets 5, Flames 0
The Comets had goals scored by Sarah Bale, Rheonna Koss, Madison Mozgiel, Kaylie Laguardia, and Nicky Gray.
Rowdies 4, Cosmos 0
Pierce Kerin scored a goal for the Rowdies as did Dalton Weis. Ryan Trieste added 2 more goals while Ryan Mayo and Mark Kresevic played solidly at midfield and defense.
