The streets and sidewalks of Cornwall-on-Hudson were full of activity last Saturday as visitors came to find treasures in the village-wide yard sale and to enjoy the warm food, desserts and crafts at the Presbyterian Church's 37th annual Apple Time Fair.
On Duncan Avenue, some children decided to take advantage of all the activity to hold the 2nd Annual Kids' Carnival to have fun and raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
SIblings Elizabeth and Charles Quinn, ages 10 and 7 respectively, got together with some friends to make games and signs for the carnival. They created games that you had to put a ring around a bottle top or fish for prizes. The event was run exclusively by the children and they enjoyed selling tickets, running the games and cheering on the many community members who came to support their efforts.
Margaret Quinn, their mother, said they would like to thank Tatiana and Elena Warner, William and Andrew Fredericks, and Max and Mia Danneels who worked so hard to raise the $230.82 that they will send to the Muscular Dystrophy Association:
