Arrests

Monday, September 20, 2010
Police charge 21-year-old Arcil Omar Castillo of Newburgh with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, speeding and driving without a license after stopping his vehicle on Angola Road.

Police charge 28-year-old Terris Taylor of West Point with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and with an equipment failure.


Tuesday, September 21
Police charge 20-year-old Greg Gonzalez of Cornwall with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and with speeding on Mill Street.

Police charge Martha Perez, 46, of Cornwall, with driving a vehicle with a suspended registration.


Thursday, September 23
Police charge 40-year-old Josephn Manno of Cornwall with issuing a bad check.

Police charge 23-year-old Joseph McCord of Monroe with reckless endangerment and harassment in the second degree after he allegedly slapped and shove his ex-girlfriend and pushed her out of the car while it was in motion.

Police charge 23-year-old Jaziel Gutierrez of Yonkers with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle on Quaker Avenue.

Police charge Brad Young, 30, of Cornwall with aggravated unlicensed operation pf a motor vehicle in the third degree and an equipment failure.

Police charge 25-year-old Andrew Cozzocrea of Carmel with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree and with speeding on Main Street.


Friday, September 24
Police arrest 20-year-old Jermel Doick of Washingtonville on an arrest warrant.

Police arrest 21-year-old Osvaldo Paca of Danbury, CT on an arrest warrant.

Police arrest 30-year-old Andrew Uebel of New Windsor on an arrest warrant.

Saturday, September 25
Police arrest 22-year-old Richard Lapinski of New Windsor on an arrest warrant.


Sunday, September 26
Police charge 30-year-old Christopher Rea of Cornwall-on-Hudson with assault in the third degree after he is allegedly involved in a fight at Castaways.

Police charge 40-year-old Tiffany Clarke of Newburgh with disorderly conduct, a violation, after she allegedly refused to refrain from yelling and shouting obscenities in a public place, the Lee Road playground.

Police charge 53-year-old Richard Lapinski of New Windsor with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree, unlicensed driver, failure to keep right and speeding on Mount Airy Road.

1:49 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 32.

8:07 pm Police move along a group of juveniles behind the Willow Avenue school.

9:44 pm Police respond to a request from a village trustee for assistance with trouble in a crowd at a meeting. Police observe several adults outside village hall engaged in a loud verbal argument that stopped on arrival.

Tuesday, September 21
8:24 am Police respond to a minor motor vehicle accident on Broadway.

4:38 pm Police issue tickets to two drivers for speeding on Continental Road.

8:38 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for speeding on Angola Road.


Wednesday, September 22
8:53 am Police issue a ticket to a driver for speeding on Route 9W.

9:45 am Police take a report of a fraud involving a person’s email account information.

11:22 am Police investigate a report of damage done to the skirts around the base of trailers at the Willow Avenue school.


Thursday, September 23
8:03 am Police respond to a deer vs. car motor vehicle accident on Route 32.

10:37 am Police retrieve an abandoned bicycle in the woods behind the Methodist Church on Main Street.

11:40 am Police advise parties not to sending harassing text messages.

12:41 pm Police take a report of an Ipod and $4 in cash taken from a gym locker at the high school.

4:08 pm Police respond to a motorcycle/car accident on Route 218 with no injuries.

7:09 pm Police issue a ticket for speeding on Route 9W.


Friday, September 24
8:57 am Police investigate a report of damage to a front door on Manor Drive.

12:10 pm Police respond to assist a 50-year-old male bicycle rider on Route 94 who was struck in the head by a bottle thrown from a passing vehicle, causing him to crash his bicycle.

1:23 pm Police notify the parents of a high school student found with drug paraphernalia at school.

3:54 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for passing illegally on Elm Street.

5:51 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with property damage on Route 94.

7:00 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 9W.

8:10 pm Police respond to a domestic dispute.


Saturday, September 25
1:35 pm Police advise two parties involving in an on-going dispute.

2:21 pm Police take a report of a stolen EZ pass tag.

7:54 pm Police respond to a domestic dispute.

9:14 pm Police move along a group of juveniles skateboarding in traffic at Main Street and Torrey Lane.


Sunday, September 26
7:46 am Police dispatch a deer hit by a vehicle on Route 94.

2:45 am Police advise a subject panhandling at Cornwall Plaza.
