General News: Farmers Market Hours Expand; Larkin Honored

The farmers market at Cornwall town hall will expand its hours effective this Wednesday, September 22, and will be open from 10 am to 5 pm, instead of 9 am to 2 pm every Wednesday through November 3rd.. The change was announced by Lucinda Poindexter, the executive director of the Cornwall Community Co-op, which runs the weekly market.
In other farm news, state senator Bill Larkin is being honored for his support of local farmers. Senator Larkin said that he is proud to be included the New York Farm Bureau’s Circle of Friends.
“The hard work and dedication shown by our farm families is one of the reasons New York farms are among the best in the nation. Our farm products consistently rank among the highest nationwide in quality and this is due to the strong work ethic and pride shown by all New York farmers," said Larkin.
