Thursday, September 2
Police charge 46-year-old Steven Saines, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after stopping him while driving on Academy Avenue.

Monday, August 30
8:10 pm Police respond to a report of loud juveniles at Cornwall-on-Hudson Elementary School and move them along.
Tuesday, August 31
7:10 am Police respond to a report of an injured deer on Bayview Avenue and dispatch the animal.
9:08 am Police issue a ticket to a driver using a cell phone while driving on Route 9W.
1:32 pm Police investigate a report of a gazing ball taken from the lawn of a residence on Andrews St. overnight.
7:51 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for failing to stop at a stop sign on River Avenue.
8:09 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for failing to stop at a stop sign on Shore Road.
8:22 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for an inadequate muffler.
9:50 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for failing to stop at a stop sign on River Avenue.
10:26 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for failing to stop at a stop sign on Shore Road.
Wednesday, September 1
6:58 pm Police investigate a report from a CSX representative that approximately 12 to 15 juveniles are playing chicken with the trains passing on Shore Road. He reported that one subject was lying on the track and not moving when the train approached. A search of the area did not find the youths.
Thursday, September 2
9:48 am Police respond to a two-car motor vehicle accident in from of Cumberland Farms store.
12:46 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for using a cell phone while driving on Wilson Road.
1:32 pm Police respond to a domestic dispute.
1:36 pm Police issue a ticket for speeding in a school zone on Hudson Street.
2:57 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for speeding in a school zone on Hudson Street.
6:39 pm Police issue a ticket to driver for going 44 mph in a 30 mph zone on Route 218.
10:37 pm Police issue a ticket for speeding – 75 mph in a 55 mph zone – on Route 9W.
Friday, September 3
9:23 am Police issue a ticket to a driver on Route 218.
9:24 am Police issue a ticket to a driver on Idlewild Avenue for speeding in a school zone.
10:11 am Police issue a ticket to a driver on Route 218.
4:42 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver on Homeland Avenue.
5:40 pm Police issue tickets to five vehicles parked without a permit at the riverfront.
6:15 pm Police respond to a two vehicle accident at Route 9W and Mountain Road. No injuries reported.
Saturday, September 4
11:20 am Police issue a parking ticket to a vehicle parked at the riverfront without a permit.
2:11 pm Police issue a parking ticket to a car parked at the riverfront without a permit.
6:22 pm Police issue a ticket to a vehicle parked at the riverfront without a permit.
8:43 pm Police issue a ticket to a driving for going 42 mph in a 30 mph zone on Hudson Street.
9:58 pm Police respond to a report of a large group of juveniles on the steps of the Cornwall-on-Hudson Elementary School causing a disturbance.
11:18 pm Police respond to a report of a large group of juveniles at the old water dept. building on Maple Road and disperse them.
Monday, September 6
10:35 am Police investigate a report of a laptop stolen from an apartment on Hudson Street.
