Arrests
Tuesday, August 31
Police charge Whitney Woodberry, 29, of Newburgh, with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and an equipment vilation after stopping his vehicle on Quaker Avenue.
Thursday, September 2
Police arrest an unidentified 16-year-old Cornwall male for assault in the third degree after he allegedly assaulted a male subject at the entrance to Little League Drive. The victim said he was passing by in a vehicle when the defendant pulled out in front of him on a bicycle with another male. The victim stopped and a verbal altercation began. The male subject allegedly came up to his vehicle and punched him with a closed fist multiple times in the face. The victim got out of his car and reports that he was dragged to the ground and hit several times by the two assailants.
Friday, September 3
Police charge 20-year-old Jermel Doick, of Washingtonville, with criminal mischief and criminal trespass after he allegedly broke the glass on a door and pushed the bar on the door to gain entry to a building on Holloran Road.
Saturday, September 4
Police charge 56-year-old Alexandra Coe, of Cornwall, with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and an equipment violation.
Sunday, September 5
Police charge 24-year-old Jhony Flores, of Central Valley, with criminal impersonation in the third degree and with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after he allegedly gave a false name to police and said that the passport found in the vehicle with another name was his twin brother.

Monday, August 30
9:10 am Police respond to a gas leak on Clinton Street created by a contractor with Central Hudson who was digging in the area.
Tuesday, August 31
8:17 am Police follow up on a report of pets left unattended at a residence on Route 32 and, after investigating, officer and animal control officer removed a neglected dog from the residence and place it with the shelter.
Wednesday, September 1
2:27 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Quaker Avenue.
4:00 pm Police advise juveniles not to harass another juvenile at the request of his mother.
Thursday, September 2
10:29 am Police issue a ticket to a driver for going 53 mph in a 30 mph zone on Quaker Avenue.
2:51 pm Police respond to a minor motor vehicle accident in the parking lot of 19 Industry Drive.
Saturday, September 4
4:20 am Police investigate a report from a woman who said she was sleeping in the bedroom of her home on Willow Avenue when she was awakened by the sound of a window breaking. When she turned on the light she saw a broken window and a small piece of asphalt near her bed. Police canvas the area with negative results.
10:11 am Police investigate a case of graffiti on the rear loading dock of the post office on Quaker Avenue. Police find evidence of drug activity in the form of empty ‘nickel’ bags of marijuana in the area.
11:54 am Police issue a ticket for speeding at 87 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 32.
12:42 pm Police take a report of a deer that had been poached on a property on Marcel Court. The homeowner found the deer with its head missing and police advised him to bury it.
3:15 pm Police respond to a mother-son domestic dispute.
4:43 pm Police take a report of a male juvenile attacked by another juvenile in a dispute over a basketball court.
6:19 pm Police investigate a report of a sailboat stolen from its beach landing on Beaver Dam Lake.
7:55 pm Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 9W.
9:37 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for going 74 mp in a 45 mph zone on Route 9W.
11:10 pm Police respond to a report from a woman who says her ex-boyfriend is harassing her via phone calls.
Sunday, September 5
8:40 am Police respond to a report of a car on Main Street that drove into parked cars.
11:35 am Police investigate a report of a foreclosed house on Mineral Springs Road that was vandalized with about $75,000 to $100,000 worth of damage.
