Arrests
August 18
Police arrest Goad Starshadow, 31, of Cornwall-on-Hudson for disorderly conduct and harassment in the second degree.

Incidents
Monday, August 16
11:51 am Police issue a ticket to a vehicle parked without a permit at the riverfront.

Tuesday, August 17
2:39 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for not wearing a seatbelt.


Wednesday, August 18
3:38 am Police respond to Tom Tavern’s for a report of a patron refusing to leave the premises and observe a female subject throwing a chair that strikes another person. The female patron was highly intoxicated, combative and uncooperative. The patron is taken into custody and placed in a town of Cornwall police car where she slipped out of handcuffs and attempted to exit the vehicle. After being re-handcuffed, she kicked the side window of the vehicle and banged her head against the cage several times. The woman was then charged with harassment.

9:09 am Police investigate a report that unknown subjects charged and signed for articles totaling $197.25 from Advanced Auto Parts in New Windsor on the village of Cornwall-on-Hudson credit account.

11:28 am Police find an envelope containing $700 in case inside a Smith & Wesson shooting bag while cleaning out the locker of a former police officer. Also found in the locker are a sawed-off, double-bareel, pistol-grip 12-gauge shotgun and a Remington 121-gauge shotgun, both illegal. The weapons were placed in the armory and the money was placed in the evidence room.

12:21 pm Police investigate the vandalism of the portable potty at the riverfront that occurred overnight.

6:10 pm Police issue a ticket to driver going 45 mph in a 30 mph zone on Route 218.

11:08 pm Police respond to a boyfriend-girlfriend domestic dispute.


Thursday, August 19
4:23 pm Police respond to a boyfriend-girlfriend domestic dispute.


Saturday, August 21
9:23 am Police investigate a report of missing lawn ornaments on Holt’s Lane. Subject reports her pink light-up pig and another subject’s light-up pig went “on the lam” between Wednesday and Thursday nights.

10:56 am Police issue a ticket to a vehicle parked without a permit at the riverfront.

2:30 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for talking on a cell phone while driving on Hudson Street.

3:59 pm Police issue a ticket to a vehicle parked without a permit at the riverfront.

4:05 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for not wearing a seatbelt.

6:32 pm Police issue a ticket to a vehicle parked without a permit at the riverfront.


Sunday, August 22
8:27 pm Police respond along with SKFE #2 to a report of wires down on Bayview Avenue. There was now fire but residents lost power and police closed the roadway pending repairs.

8:46 pm Police respond to a report of a tree down on Boulevard, obstructing traffic. DPW removed the tree by 10:34 pm.
