Wednesday, August 18
Police charge 28-year-old Kristina Gooler, of COrnwall, with falsely reporting an incident in the third degree and with making a punishable false written statement after she reported that a vehicle that she was a passenger in was damaged by another vehicle in the parking lot of the police station. A review of security camera footage showed that the incident did not occur as reported.

Police charge an unidentified 33-year-old male from Cornwall-on-Hudson with reckless endangerment in the second degree after allegedly trying to run his ex-wife off the road.


Thursday, August 19
Police charge 26-year-old Ruan Sander, of Beacon, with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after he was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Clove Road in which he fell asleep while driving.


Friday, August 20
Police charge 23-year-old Vernon Couser, of new Windsor, with criminal trespass in the 3rd degree and petty larceny after he allegedly gained access to a fenced-in yard on Shore Road and filled his vehicle with diesel fuel.

Monday, August 16
8:25 am Police investigate a report of damage inside the Cornwall middle school and on its roof by unknown subjects.

10:57 am Police investigate a report of fivevehicles broken into a Bernicker Auto on Main Street.

1:09 pm Police investigate a report of a vehicle’s window that was smashed over night while parked on Angola Road.

3:31 pm Police take a report of a road rage incident involving two female drivers near CVS.

4:16 pm Police respond to a three-vehicle motor vehicle accident at Laurel Avenue and Route 9W that occurred when one vehicle rear ended another, sending it into the third vehicle.

4:23 pm Police respond to a husband-wife domestic dispute.
10:12 pm Police respond to a report of juveniles throwing rocks at a passing car on Quaker Avenue and advise subjects.


Tuesday, August 17
3:33 am Police respond to a fire at Brothers Barbeque on Route 32.

4:30 pm Police respond to a report of a male teen on the roof of a building on Main Street and speak with the subject who said he was looking for a place to think, appeared irate and said he was ‘having a bad day.’ No charges filed.

6:12 pm Police take a report of a video game system missing from a residence.

11:23 pm Police extinguish a fire at Laurelcrest park and pursue juveniles who appeared to have started the fire and set off fireworks before fleeing on foot.


Wednesday, August 18
8:24 am Police investigate a report of a big screen TV and computer missing from a residence after the owner returned from out of town.

7:41 pm Police take a report of a car whose tires were slashed overnight while parked at a residence on Route 94.


Thursday, August 19
6:44 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident in which a car hit a guardrail on Deer Hill Road.

8:50 pm Police investigate a report of a generator stolen from the back porch of a residence.

10:29 pm Police move along a group of juveniles at Laurelcrest Park.


Friday, August 20
4:15 pm Police respond to a mother-daughter domestic dispute.

4:56 pm Police respond to a report of a car that rolled into Canterbury creek on Main Street after the driver started the parked vehicle with a remote starter and it was in gear, then began to buck and went over the edge of the parking lot and into the stream.

10:10 pm Police investigate a report of a girl missing from the McQuade home.

11:23 pm Police respond to a fight among attendees at a wedding that involved intoxicated subjects.


Sunday, August 22
7:49 am Police take a report about a boyfriend-girlfriend domestic dispute.

1:32 pm Police investigate a report of a vehicle parked at a business on Route 32 that had its window broken with a large rock during the night and $20 was taken from the vehicle.

10:14 pm Police respond to a boyfriend-girlfriend domestic dispute.
