Arrests
Monday, July 26
Police charge 30-year-old Iisha Brooks, of Newburgh, with speeding and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle on Route 94.
Police charge 19-year-old Hannah Baxter, of Clintondale, with unlawful possession of marijuana.
Wednesday, July 28
Police charge 23-year-old Suzanne Ferrarelli, of Highland Mills, with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and with speeding on Route 32.
Saturday, July 31
Police charge 23-year-old Chris Simmons, of Newburgh, with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and with driving a car with an expired inspection sticker.

Monday, July 26
8:40 am Police respond to a report of a dog struck by a vehicle on Hudson Street.
1:30 pm Police take a report of an irate patient threatening the staff of a medical office over billing charges.
4:35 pm Police issue a ticket for speeding to a driver going 59 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 32.
4:49 pm Police issue a ticket for speeding to a driver going 561mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 32.
7:54 pm Police respond to a deer vs motor vehicle accident on Route 9W with personal injuries.
9:06 pm Police assist in search for an intoxicated female who was threatening to drive her car into her mother’s car.
10:50 pm Police respond to a report of three white male teenagers walking down Main Street throwing garbage cans into the sidewalk and throwing them at cars. One subject even put a garbage can into a car. Police speak with several teens and the owner of the car with the garbage can in it. He removes the can and locks his car.
Tuesday, July 27
6:15 am Police investigate a report of an egging of two cars in the parking lot of 10 Torrey Lane.
2:35 am Police assist an elderly Alzheimer’s patient found wandering on Route 9W.
6:02 pm Police investigate a report of egging a house on Misty Ridge Road.
Wednesday, July 28
10:14 am Police take a report of criminal mischief at a property on Farm Hollow Road in which objects on and around the property have been damaged.
12:53 am Police issue a ticket for going 55 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 94.
1:43 pm Police issue a ticket for going 60 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 94.
2:01 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver going 70 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 32 and also ticket him for driving with a dealer’s plate rather than a registered vehicle.
4:06 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver going 60 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 9W.
4:33 pm Police respond to a motorcycle accident with injuries on Route 94.
6:15 pm Police take a report of a passing car whose passengers threw a McDonald’s drink cup and an Arizona Ice Tea container at several youths walking on Main Street.
6:57 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver going 59 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 32.
Thursday, July 29
2:44 am Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Otterkill Road.
9:40 am Police take a report of harassment involving an man and his estranged wife and her friend.
2:33 pm Police respond to a one-vehicle motor vehicle accident on Route 32.
3:49 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver going 64 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 32.
Friday, July 30
11:36 am Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with minor damage on Main Street.
3:15 pm Police assist a highly intoxicated male walking on Continental Road and transport him home.
11:31 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for going 67 mph in a 55 mph zone.
Saturday, July 31
9:54 am Police take a report of a motor vehicle that was lightly damaged after striking a dog that was lightly injured on Angola Road.
11:18 am Police investigate a report of copper piping torn from the walls of a house in foreclosure on Mineral Springs Road.
6:50 pm Police respond to a report of a fight in progress on Firth Street involving the use of golf clubs as weapons. Two females and other subjects were interviewed and police determine that the dispute resulted from comments left on a Facebook page.
Sunday, August 1
1:21 pm Police dispatch a rabid raccoon on Barnstorm Road.
2:14 pm Police respond to a minor motor vehicle accident in the parking lot of Quaker Plaza.
