General News: Motorcycle Crash Leaves One Dead

A motorcycle ride turned deadly on Sunday afternoon when the driver of a 2006 Ducati motorcycle apparently lost control and struck a guardrail on Route 9W northbound.
Cornwall police sergeant Steven Dixon reports that 36-year-old Otis C. Johnson, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was ejected from his motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles appeared to be involved in the accident.
Cornwall police, ambulance corps and fire department responded to the accident that occured at 1:23 pm. Sgt. Dixon said that speed was an apparent contributing factor in the accident.
