Dear Cornwall and Cornwall-on-Hudson Residents,
I grew up in Cornwall and moved to Massachusetts just after high school. For the last few years I have been coming back with my wife and two boys (4 and 5 years old) for the 4th of July. I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank a few of you for making this year so special once again.
· Thank you to 2 Alices for making the best coffee and iced-tea in town!! We needed the energy to keep up with the boys!!
· Thank you to the lifeguards at the town pool who watched over the children in the hot weather.
· Thank you for everyone involved with the 4th of July festivities, parade and fireworks…it was absolutely amazing once again!!
· Thank you Glen McGinnis for being such an example of true town spirit!
· Thank you to the police, fire, and ambulance teams for your dedication and keeping everyone safe!
· Thank you to the town public works department for keeping the park clean and safe for the children.
· Thank you to the staff of the Museum of Hudson Highlands…we loved seeing all the animals and thank you for always teaching our boys something new.
· Thank you to all of the staff at the Hudson Street Café, The River Bank, Canterbury Inn, Painter’s Restaurant, Dragon’s Den Deli, Prima and Leo’s…the food was excellent as usual!!
· Thank you to Jones Farm for the tasty baked goods!
· Thank you Paul Gould for your beautiful artwork and for being such an inspiration to so many artists!
· Thank you to all of the friendly and hospitable residents that always said hello and smiled as they walked by us.
· Thank you to the staff of the Cornwall Local…we loved reading about everything going on in town while sipping our coffee.
Thank you all for such a great time and for making our visit so pleasant and enjoyable! What a great town!!!
Kind Regards,
The Vanderpool’s (John, Meghan, Jack and Ty)
