Arrests


Monday, June 21
Police arrest an unidentified 25-year-old male from Newburgh on a criminal trespass misdemeanor charge after he was found in the residence of the mother of his children, where he had been advised to stay away from.dam

Wednesday, June 23
Police arrest a 17-year-old female from Cornwall after she is observed intentionally damaging the headlight of a van parked in the driveway of a group home on Angola Road. She is charged with two misdemeanors: criminal mischief and resisting arrest.

Police arrest James Stewart, of Port Jervis on a bench warrant.


Thursday, June 24
Police arrest a female juvenile from Florida, NY on a warrant charge.

Monday, June 21
8:57 am Police investigate a harassment complaint.

5:00 pm Police assist a woman who has been unable to make contact with her 20-year-old daughter.


Tuesday, June 22
7:56 am Police investigate a report of a large number of lottery tickets stolen from the J&K Deli on Route 32 the previous day.

11:20 am Police investigate a report of a broken window on a residence and clothing and diapers missing from a residence. Items are later found in the woods.

4:10 pm Police impound an unregistered vehicle after stopping to assist the driver of the car after it became disabled.

5:44 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with property damage on Route 32.


Wedneday, June 23
8:57 am Police respond to a report of a turtle on the roadway on Route 94 and find the turtle had been run over.

2:06 pm Police investigate a report of an attempt to gain entry to a building on Main Street.

2:53 pm Police respond to a one car motor vehicle accident in which a car went over an embankment on Mineral Springs Road and the driver seems somewhat confused.

5:16 pm Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Orrs Mills Road.

7:30 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for going 62 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 9W.

8:53 pm Police assist a woman whose son needs mental health attention.

10:59 pm Police respond to a report of a domestic dispute.


Thursday, June 24
4:53 pm Police investigate a report of harassment via Facebook.

5:32 pm Police respond to a report of a disruptive customer who refused to leave a store when asked by an employee.


Friday, June 25
5:40 pm Police respond to a report of wires down and burning on Route 32. Fire department also responds.

10:18 pm Police take a report from COVAC that after responding to a call about a motorcycle off the roadway into a ditch on Riley Road found that the motorcycle driver had left the scene.

10:53 pm Police respond to Cornwall hospital to assist with two adult subjects in the lower lot.


Saturday, June 26
8:35 pm Police advise two females to lower the music at a private residence.

11:17 pm Police investigate a reported larceny of a patio table from a residence on Elm Street. A witness stated that multiple teenagers removed the table into the roadway and then sped off in two vehicles.


Sunday, June 27
2:34 am Police request subjects to turn the music down.

3:36 am Police investigate a report of a window broken on a car on Angola Road.

10:10 am Police respond to a domestic dispute.

10:28 am Police investigate a report of a vehicle in Sylcox Road broken into overnight and the caller’s old wallet and cell phone charger were taken.

1:01 pm Police take a report of verbal harassment between family members.


Monday, June 28
6:45 pm Police investigate a report of a GPS taken from an unlocked vehicle while parked overnight on Poplar Street.
