General News: Cornwall AAU Team Wins Tournament

The Cornwall Dragon 15-under team won The Edge Basketball Tournament in Po ughkeepsie over the weekend of May 22-23, 2010. They finished the tournament 5-0 and now have won 12 of their last 13 games.
In game one, the Dragons defeated Edge(W) by a score of 65-60. Louie Cioffi had 24 points including seven 3-pointers, followed by Zach Bouton (18), Maleek Griffin (10) and Drew Thorpe(5).
In the second game, Cornwall defeated the Connenticut Mavericks by a score of 67-54. Zach Bouton recorded 16 points, Cioffi(10), Dan Casey, Maleek Griffin, Conor Staudle and Seamus O'Sullivan each had 8 points and Donald Malone recorded 5 rebounds.
In game three, the Dragons handled the Monroe Crusaders by a score of 58-49. Louie Cioffi had 18 points, followed by Zach Bouton with 15. Chaz Del Bene , Maleek Griffin, Dan Casey, and Seamus O'Sullivan accounted for a total of 25 points.
Sunday's games included a 56-27 win over Edge (E) team and a 64-35 over the Hoop Express of Brewster. In the win against Edge, Bouton, Cioffi,and Del Bene each had 10 points and Stephen Powles had 6 rebounds. In the game against Hoop Express, Zach Bouton had 17 points, and Louie Cioffi 15. There was also scoring from Conor Staudle (7), Chris Parker(6),Dan Casey(6) and strong floor play from Austin Stewart with 8 assists.
